Mezmerize saw the band, renowned for its erratic and politically charged nu-metal sound, achieve its most profound commercial success, debuting at No. 1 with hits like the Grammy-winning anti-war anthem “B.Y.O.B.” and the satirical “Cigaro.” The shirt features the striking, tribal-inspired album artwork created by guitarist Daron Malakian’s father, Vartan Malakian, an image that visually links the two albums and was a central motif of the subsequent 2005 Mezmerize/Hypnotize Tour.
